Happy Friday Storied family!
It’s officially December and we’re in full on Christmas mode. Our son wakes up every morning asking to see the Christmas tree and it’s all just feeling really magical this year. Hope it’s been a good start of the season for you all as well.
Just a few things at the top of this week’s issue that we want you to be aware of:
There will be no community Zoom call this month. We’re taking the month off to spend with family and connect with friends we haven’t seen in over a year in Northern Ireland. We will resume in the new year.
You can still connect with us and each other over in the Storied Facebook group (paid subscribers only). It’s a private group so give us a minute to approve your membership request— we usually check on it every 2-3 days.
We will be taking two weeks off from sending out issues over the holidays. The weekend of Christmas (Dec 24th) and of New Year (Dec 31st).
Finally, we just want to ask that if Storied has been useful to you and if you have enjoyed being subscribed, that you would maybe consider gifting a subscription to a friend? Or even sharing on your socials? But only if you feel comfortable. We’ve made Storied as affordable as Substack will allow us, but every subscription helps us keep this community going and these issues going out each week. And as always, if you cannot afford the $5/mo subscription, please just respond to this email and we will get you squared away. We never want cost to be a reason you don’t find connection here in this space.
Grateful for you all!
Gabby and Chris
Clear Some Space, Expect An Encounter

What is the goal of spiritual formation?
Is it having an encyclopaedic knowledge of the Bible?
Is it being able to answer your co-workers questions? (“Do you really believe the world was created in 6 days?”)
Is it being able to answer your own questions and lingering doubts?
Let me put it a different way…why?
